About

Mediation between language and systems

Johannes Rosing in Liguria

I have lived and worked in Italy since 1984 and have been based in Imperia, Liguria, since 2003. As a native German speaker with an international educational background, I connect different linguistic and administrative cultures.

I studied architecture at the Politecnico di Milano and at the Mackintosh School of Architecture in Glasgow; I also spent several years in Scotland during my childhood.

Since 1994, I have worked as a freelance language mediator between German, English, and Italian. I started with translations and interpreting assignments, primarily in technical environments such as the automotive industry and machine tooling.

Over time, my focus shifted toward quality assurance and the editorial finalisation of German texts. My day-to-day work includes technical documentation, websites, and specialised content.

I support German- and English-speaking private clients in conversations with public offices, administrations, or project stakeholders. My role is to convey content precisely, make procedures understandable, and ensure clear communication between all parties involved.

I work independently, in a structured manner, and with clearly defined responsibilities.
